A century ago, a demon steals souls in an attempt to ascend into a dragon, only to be relentlessly hunted across the wilderness by the demon hunter Corin Eggar. After sacrificing himself to save a young boy and severely wounding the demon, the hunter falls into an icy slumber in his weakened state, leaving behind a 60-year promise. Decades later, that boy has become a one-armed elder leading a logging crew deep in the mountains, unknowingly awakening ancient evils.
